I am Brandon Jones, a senior Computer Science major from Charlotte, North Carolina with a passion for innovation, creativity, leadership, and community engagement.
Beyond my work in computer science, I am also a recording artist and MC known as Southmad3. Through music, I use storytelling, performance, and creative expression to connect with audiences and build my brand.
I am a Spring 2025 initiate into the Mu Epsilon Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated. The fraternity’s principles of manhood, scholarship, perseverance, and uplift connect strongly to my academic drive, creative discipline, and commitment to service.
As a Campus Ambassador at Winston-Salem State University, I help prospective students experience WSSU culture and play an important role in encouraging students to become part of the Ram family.
I also ran for the title of the 52nd Mister Winston-Salem State University on the platform “Do You Believe In Change?” My platform centered on empowering students who may feel unheard, overlooked, or hesitant to use their voice. I wanted to encourage others to step outside of their comfort zones, recognize the value of their ideas, and advocate for the positive change they believe should happen within their communities.
